In this Anthology, short story writers and essayists are offering a look into the beating heart of the Black community.
The Black Community is composed of so many different ethnic stands which allow us to see this heart as being also a
many-faceted diamond. A gyrating, glimmering, shimmering, smooth-as-satin, jagged-as-ice diamond.

These writers bring their own individual dialects and enthusiasms about life to shape this carnival of words, dancing
around boundaries. Their feelings about love and children, racism and oppression, death and remembrance of
departed ones reflect the joys and strains in each of their communities.

There is a sense of isolation for Black writers. Most Black writers have been and still are self-published. Their markets
have been primarily friends and acquaintances at the church social or the office, or the small local store.

Hopefully, this Anthology will be an equal-opportunity vehicle for Black writers and Black readers - - and non-Black
readers of Black writers- - - to read works from Nigeria and New York, from Guadeloupe and California, from the
university office in Toronto to the taxi in Chicago, from the up-scale restaurant to the sweltering stoop in the Hood. -

I am a proud contributor to this anthology. After waiting for over thirty years to start writing creatively again; I submitted
the first short story that I created for this collection. My short story, Remember Me and The Good Things represents the
first piece of fiction that I have published since the early 70s. African American literature has grown and changed in that
space of time. I am determined and focused to participate as one of the Black Writers of the 21st Century. Your support
of this collection insures that the legacy will continue.

With divorce, single-parent households and family crises on the rise, many people are experiencing the tumultuous
dynamics of blended families.

Learn biblical principles and practical tools to successfully blend your family. Contributors include award-winning
Christian authors, Kevin Wayne Johnson, Vanessa Miller and Dr. Vivi Monroe Congress. This book will minister to the
needs of those hurting and crying out for answers.

I am very proud that my personal essay, The Daddy of Them All is included in this anthology. This project is very dear
to my heart because I am the product of a successfully blended family. This book is an excellent ministry tool for
churches and organizations that are dealing with the effects of blending families in today’s society. The writers who
have contributed to this book provide insight into the realities of human interaction in families and bring forth a message
that in Christ all things are possible. I am sure that you will be blessed by our mission.
